2021 Honda Pilot Review
When it comes to navigating Milwaukee, Greenfield, and Waukesha, WI, you need room for the whole family, along with all their belongings. The Honda Pilot delivers on both fronts and offers a variety of other convenience features to help you travel comfortably.
To give you some further insights into what it’s like to drive the 2021 Honda Pilot, our team at Schlossmann Honda City put together the following review. As you read about its specs below, feel free to contact us with any questions!
Honda Pilot Seating & Cargo
The 2021 Honda Pilot balances cozy seating and functional cargo. It features seating for up to eight people and a total passenger volume of 152.9 cubic feet that provides ample room for stretching out.
Along with that, the maximum 109 cubic feet of cargo room can fit an 82-quart cooler behind the third-row seat. That’s enough to pack all your favorite food and snacks for a day at Pewaukee Lake. To give you even more flexibility, the Honda Pilot also comes with a hidden storage well that lets you safely stow items out of sight.
Safety & Entertainment in the 2021 Honda Pilot
The Honda Sensing® safety and driver-assistance suite comes standard in the Honda Pilot, putting the care of you and your passengers first. It includes the following:
- Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™)
- Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS)
These features work to raise your awareness on the road by providing audio and visual alerts about your surroundings. Some of them can also operate autonomously to help avoid or mitigate a potential collision.
With the available CabinTalk® in-car PA system, you’ll never have to raise your voice to communicate with back-seat passengers. When equipped with the optional CabinControl® system, everyone can take turns changing the music, too. Once you pick the perfect song, an available 10-speaker premium audio system will bring it to life.
The 2021 Honda Pilot also offers optional Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration that allow you to access your smartphone apps easily on the go through the available 8-inch touchscreen display. In back, the optional Advanced Rear Entertainment System offers hours of intrigue, thanks to its 10.2-inch display with a Blu-Ray™ Player and convenient built-in streaming apps.
Honda Pilot Towing & Performance
The 2021 Honda Pilot delivers 3,500 pounds of towing capacity for 2-wheel-drive (2WD) trims and a maximum 5,000-pound towing capacity for all-wheel-drive (AWD) models. That means, you’re free to bring oversized toys like water skis, a camping trailer, or a small recreational boat on your next epic family road trip.
For improved handling and control, the Honda Pilot offers an available Intelligent Traction Management system. The 2WD trims come standard with Normal and Snow modes, while the AWD models add Mud and Sand modes to the mix.
