2022 Honda Accord Review
Honda Accord: Performance
The Accord offers a range of performance options to fit your needs. Among the two gas engines and one hybrid engine, you’re sure to find equipment that delivers the right balance of power and fuel economy.
The two 4-cylinder gas engines and their power metrics include the following:
- 1.5T: 192 horsepower / 192 lb-ft of torque
- 2.0T: 252 horsepower / 273 lb-ft of torque
Both come paired to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), although the available 2.0T engine also offers an upgrade to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Each engine features great fuel economy for work and other travels. Choose the standard 1.5T engine on the base trim level of LX, and you’ll see up to an EPA-estimated 30 city/38 highway MPG.* Choose the 2.0T engine on the Touring trim, and you’ll enjoy an EPA-estimated 22 city/32 highway MPG.*
Lastly, there’s the Accord Hybrid engine. It delivers a total system horsepower of 212 HP along with 232 lb-ft of torque. It’s the most efficient of the three engines, so you’ll be able to travel up to an EPA-estimated 48 city/47 highway MPG with the Hybrid and Hybrid EX-L trim levels.*
Honda Accord: Interior Amenities
Those technology features add to the comfort you’ll find within the Accord. Just as you have available wireless upgrades, you’ll also find keyless features to improve your driving experience.
For one, there’s standard Push Button Start. Rather than turn the key in the ignition, you’ll press a button to turn on the engine. Then, there’s the available Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock® system. This keyless feature detects your fob as you approach or depart the vehicle and will lock or unlock the doors as needed.
An array of other comfort features will provide a more customized interior. For example, the standard dual-zone automatic climate control system will help you select an optimal interior temperature. Available heated and ventilated front seats will then provide additional comfort on cold or hot days.
