For 2016, the Honda CR-V took home the honors of being Edmunds.com’s most-researched vehicle for the second year in a row, pointing towards the industry’s current trend towards the family-friendly SUV and crossover segment. Edmunds also mentioned that two other Honda models - the Accord and the Civic - also took the second and third places on the list, securing an all-Honda top three. The new Honda Civic Type-R is an upcoming model that has enthusiasts and speed demons raving. The Japanese automaker hasn’t been too forthcoming with the new model but it looks like someone has spotted the sport-inspired compact car in London of all places. While we’ve seen the prototype before, the Honda Civic Type-R production model is much more telling. The Civic Type-R prototype took the spotlight at the 2016 Paris Motor Show but we haven’t heard much since. Now someone has spotted not one, but two Civic Type-R models rolling through London. The Honda Civic hatchback made its debut at the Paris Motor Show and serves as the basis for the Type-R. The hatchback version of the popular compact car is set to launch next year. The Type-R is expected to launch shortly after as well. Honda hot hatches have done well in the past but designers took a different approach this time around. Instead of creating a lean, mean vehicle with an extreme look, the Type-R will boast a soft front bumper and rear diffuser. Have no fear, enthusiasts. The world of 3D-printing technology seems to get more impressive every day, but Honda has seriously raised the bar with its latest 3D-printing adventure by building an electric vehicle. Honda joined up with a Japanese 3D-printing startup company called Kabuku to design the tiny model, which was created with the aim of driving comfortably on narrow Japanese roads that are usually only travelled by motorcycle.
