There’s an array of options that makes us wish we had more room to try everything at once. The Cheese Curd Burger applies fried cheese to your cheeseburger and Frickle Burger fries up pickles instead. The Defibrillator is delicious, but it’s nothing to take lightly (because it’s two patties covered with chicken fried bacon). It all happens at Stefans Soccer in Brookfield on October 1st. Milwaukee Comedy Festival The Milwaukee Comedy Festival returns this October starting on the 2nd and running through the 9th. This is the 17th year and promises to be every bit as entertaining as the last 16. Headliner Laurie Kilmartin is set and the rest of the lineup will be out soon. The festival is known for showcasing different comedy styles that include sketch and improv along with classic stand-up. Boo at the Zoo Boo at the Zoo returns this year at the Milwaukee Zoo. This not-too-scary Halloween celebration is great for all ages. There’s a haystack maze, the Raven’s Trail train, lots of carved pumpkins, and trick-or-treating for the kids! Beet Street Fall Festival 2022 Cactus Club brings back the Beet Street Fall Festival for 2022 with a fresh lineup. Each day has a different main stage headliner. Acts include Bella Cain, Spin Doctors, and more! Besides the great acts and great animals, you’ll enjoy some of the best local food Milwaukee has to offer from local favorites like Scrima’s Pizza, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and many, many more. Art & Chalk Fest 2022 If you’re looking for a visual feast instead of the more conventional variety, the Art & Chalk Fest 2022 is a great option. Held at the Museum of Wisconsin Art from August 20th to the 21st, this festival includes a great variety of local Wisconsin artists. Watch live demonstrations of things like ceramics, pottery, glass blowing, and, of course, chalk art. Pick up the chalk yourself in the community activity zone and create your own art. There are even balloon artists for the kids! Milwaukee Oktoberfest The 12th Annual Milwaukee Oktoberfest happens from August 26th through the 28th at the War Memorial Center. The New Honda Civic Type R is track-ready and waiting for you. Photo Credit: Falcon® Photography Enthusiasts have been begging Honda to bring the track-ready Civic Type R to the United States. Now it looks like they’re getting their wish! The Japanese automaker announced that the power-packed Civic will make its way to North American shores later this spring. The new Honda Civic Type R brings more performance than any other car sold under the brand. Honda officially revealed the Civic Type R at the Geneva Motor Show, much to the pleasure of hot hatch lovers everywhere. The new model boasts a sleek, aerodynamic design with curves in all the right places. What’s more impressive and exciting is what lies under the hood. “We expect that the efficiency of this model’s engine...will provide U.S. customers with a great driving experience," said Frederic Bernard, a Honda Europe technology expert. The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine churns out a massive 306 hp without breaking a sweat. That engine will come mated to a six-speed manual transmission designed to shift between gears quickly. The hot hatch has also received a tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, and other performance equipment. Expect the new Honda Civic Type R to run around the mid-$30,000 price range. Taking your family on vacation while sticking to a tight budget isn’t easy, but it’s entirely possible. There are costs associated with both driving and flying that can make all the difference. The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is a great choice for fuel efficiency and comfort. Driving One of the main costs of driving, assuming you own your own vehicle, is gas. Provided you choose a fuel efficient vehicle, like any model on the Honda lineup, you can save money. Determine how much each tank of gas will cost, how many miles you get per tank, and how far you’ll be driving. Don’t forget to include the cost of a hotel if you don’t have somewhere to stay. Meals are a must as well. Flying is more convenient but airline tickets can be very expensive. Flying Flying may be more convenient, but it comes at a cost.
