Performance

The Pilot’s performance is thanks to a standard V6 engine, which can deliver up to 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission and features standard Idle-Stop—a mechanism designed to save fuel.

By shutting off the engine when you’re stopped for more than two seconds, Idle-Stop helps you enjoy the full potential of the EPA-estimated 20 city/27 highway MPG found in the base Sport trim as well as the EX-L, Special Edition, and Touring trims.¹

Both the standard 2-wheel drivetrain and the available all-wheel drive system offer Intelligent Traction Management. With 2-wheel drive, you’ll have Snow mode, while the all-wheel drive system provides Snow, Sand, and Mud modes to help you tackle more diverse terrain.

Interior

The interior of the Honda Pilot is just as interesting as its performance. While the standard seating configuration is for eight passengers, you can design the interior to hold seven instead. With the available captain’s chairs, second-row passengers can have a little more space for the journey.

For entertainment needs and navigational assistance, turn to the standard 8-inch touch-screen. It’s compatible with both Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ so that you can connect your smartphone and use all the same apps in the car. Whether you’re accessing music or finding directions, you’ll feel connected in all sorts of ways.

Passengers in the back have options too. For one, there’s the available Advanced Rear Entertainment System. It comes with a 10.2-inch touch-screen that drops from the roof of the cabin and two pairs of wireless headphones. With it, passengers can focus on fun movies or shows, while you drive.

Also impressive are the numerous standard safety features. Everything from the Adaptive Cruise Control to the Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor can be found on the Pilot.

Trim Levels

This Honda SUV offers seven trim levels:

• Sport
• EX-L
• Special Edition
• TrailSport
• Touring
• Elite
• Black Edition

The higher you go in the trim levels, the more advanced and upgraded features you’ll find. For example, the first few trims feature standard 8-passenger seating, as mentioned above. Move to the Touring trim and you’ll have the choice of the 7-passenger or the 8-passenger configuration. On the Elite and Black Edition trims, the 7-passenger configuration is now the standard.

The same can be seen with other convenience features and technology systems. All levels above the base trim have leather-trimmed seats, while both the Elite and the Black Edition include a heated steering wheel and heated second-row seats as standard. The Special Edition, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition trims come with hands-free power tailgate for easier cargo loading.
